Short answer: No – connect something, anything, to the NBN today.

Longer Answer: It only costs $2 to get something connected so you can start trying out the NBN and seeing what the difference is.

Telstra and Optus will get their skates on eventually.  Telstra even has a $9 billion dollar deal riding on it, but you don’t need to wait for them to be trying out the NBN.

In fact, if you signed up for a trial run with someone else it might even hurry them along to offer some services.
